South African DJ and producer Esa Williams has gathered a number of uber-talented musicians to form Esa’s Afro-Synth Band, a collective that focuses on taking you through a journey of grooves and rhythms via their synths and percussion.

Combining the creative talents of young artists Chisara, Ami Koda and Alexander Burke (aka Forest Law) alongside Esa, together the four embody the collective mission to revive the legacy of South African dance music born during apartheid.

To do so, they enlist the help of special guests to perform live with them in the ever-changing evolution of the band while also laying down original studio tracks, edits and reworks that have been released on Rush Hour, Ninja Tune and work with Keleketla!, Harvey Sutherland, Kamazu and more.
